Grant Writing Workshop
Join us for a live grant writing workshop where you will learn how to prepare a grant proposal for a local foundation. This workshop is open to all students who wish to learn how to prepare for and write a full grant proposal to submit to a foundation. We will discuss how to interpret and respond to funder questions; address specific document requests such as financials; compare alternative methods for presenting compelling descriptions of programming; and determine how to select the best program option for a particular funder based on our assessment of their funding priorities. This unique opportunity consists of this 90-minute training session as well as follow-up mentorship for those interested in testing out their knowledge by preparing their own proposal for either a fictitious or real nonprofit program. There will also be a Certificate of Completion offered to those who successfully complete a full sample proposal within 60 days of the training session.

Grant writing is a valuable skill that can be learned, and, with practice, you can excel at. Being a skilled grant writer can open a wide range of opportunities for part time, flexible, remote, and full-time employment which can be a fantastic source of income at any stage of your life. There are grant writers who are still in college as well as others who are well into their 70s!

We will be sure to leave some time at the end to address any questions you may have.
